Subject to change due to unpredictable weather conditions. Shoot times are not set in stone and may be adjusted with short notice.

Day One - 17th November

On the first day we will meet at a designated pickup point near Perth at 8:30 am. Departing at 8:45 am latest, we will be travelling North and stopping in Geraldton for a brief lunch before we continue on to Kalbarri.
We'll check in to our accommodation at the Kalbarri Edge Resort and then head of to the aptly named Red Bluff Beach.

Day Two - 18th November

We'll begin our second morning with a sunrise shoot at this iconic location that Kalbarri is most famous for: Nature's Window. There are plenty of great compositions and photographic opportunities here other than the window its self.

After our sunrise shoot we will make the very short trip to the recently completed Kalbarri skywalk and continue our morning of photography, before breakfast at the skywalk kiosk.
After this we head back into town to freshen up and we'll then have a post processing session early in the afternoon.

Our day of photography will end with a sunset shoot at the rugged coastal cliffs at Pot Alley.

Day Three - 19th November

On the third morning we'll be starting early to head for sunrise at the Z Bend lookout on the Murchison Gorge. This dramatic landscape is even more impressive in the early morning light. You'll have the option to head down into the gorge after sunrise, or simply sit and enjoy the views from up top. Either way it will be a good morning! Please be warned, the trail heading down into the gorge is suitable only for those that are more agile and capable of scaling boulders, slippery surfaces, and climbing multiple ladders. Feral bees are also present very close to the trail here, so it is not advised that any participants with history of insect allergies enter the gorge.

Following our sunrise shoot we will have a second post processing session, before heading off mid afternoon to check out the Pink Lake in Port Gregory. After out afternoon shoot we'll make our way back towards Kalbarri, stopping in at Island Rock along the dramatic seaside for our final sunset shoot!

Day Four - 20th November

Our final morning will start off with a sunrise shoot at Jakes Point, we'll then have opportunity to grab a coffee and breakfast before checking out of Kalbarri Edge & heading home, again stopping in Geraldton for lunch.

What to bring:

We have planned the four days so we are out shooting in the best possible light for landscape photography, whilst allowing time in between to eat, freshen up, and go to the shop for supplies. Meals are provided but if you want any drinks/snacks in between, you will be responsible for this.

We'll be doing a small amount of walking to get to our photography destinations on most of the days so please come prepared and wear closed in shoes.

If you have any know medical conditions or injuries you MUST bring any necessary medication (e.g. Epi Pen, Inhaler) and have it on you at ALL times. Please let me know if you have any difficulties walking and getting around prior to booking so we can ensure you will be able to enjoy this trip.

Temperatures can change from one extreme to the other quite quickly up here, It can become very cold and windy or very hot, so please come prepared for all weather conditions.

Recommended Photography Equipment

Photography equipment is NOT supplied. At a minimum, you need your own camera, tripod, lens(es), memory cards (with plenty of space), and batteries (fully charged).

If I could only choose one lens to bring with me on this trip, It would be a 24-70mm or similar.  I would also recommend a 14-24mm for full frame users, and a 10-24mm for crop sensor users.

A good, sturdy tripod is highly recommended. You'll want one that allows full control of the leg angle, as this can be critical for setting up on uneven ground and getting the camera nice and low. I recommend that you have a ball head attached to the tripod also, as this will allow you to easily level your camera once set up.

Drones - A drone is not an essential piece of equipment for this trip, but it will significantly expand your photographic opportunities. We would recommend the DJI Mavic Pro 2/3, Mini 3 Pro, or AIR 2s models. If you have any drone it would be worthwhile bringing it along to the workshop.

Feel free to contact me for gear recommendations.

The workshop price is $2700 and there are is a maximum of 5 participants.

We will proceed regardless of weather conditions, with the exception of a severe & dangerous weather forecast (e.g. cyclone).

Please ensure you can attend the workshop prior to booking, as we can not offer a refund if you change your mind or need to cancel. We do need at least 4 participants booked before November 1st to proceed - in the even that the minimum requirement is not met, a full refund will be provided.
